Computer and network are the major research objects of the information security technology at present. As the development of computer network and application, securely and reliably transmitting information has become a key issue. The high speed data cipher card can implement the information storage and transmit the protected information, which has the function of digital signature and signature authentication. The data cipher card supports kinds of network protocols to satisfy the requirement of the application of commercial cryptology. Considering the market requirement, the data encryption technology is gradually apt to hardware encryption products. Therefore, it is very necessary to develop the high speed cipher card based on the native cipher algorithm.A design idea of hardware encryption product: adding the DSP and co-processor to the cipher card system is introduced. This kind of hardware design method can satisfy the requirement of speed and real-time for cipher algorithm. Furthermore, a modularized design method which is easy to debug and upgrade the product in the future is also proposed.A module of DSP program download and bootloader function is designed and realized combining the author's own developing experience. And a driver procedure is developed on the basis of fully mastering the PCI driver technology.Now the cipher card has been developed successfully and has passed the appraisal by National Cipher Office. The cipher card has been a mature product in the market.
