With the rapid growing of the portable computer and high speed wireless access technology, wireless computer applications are coming to us.But the wireless mobile network's inherent characteristics of mobility and high probability of transmission error usually make the control of quality of service difficulty. How to offer QoS guarantee in wireless mobile environment becomes one of the research hotspots. Resource reservation and proper resource management has been proved to effective to solve the problem, but existing resource reservation protocol(RSVP) can't be directly applied in wireless mobile networks without modification due to it inherent limitations. This article proposed an extension proposal of existing RSVP in the wireless mobile network environment. This proposal ties up RSVP messages and the BU messages and transmits to the destination together, establishing the routing road with the mobile node and the correspondent node while reserving the resources along the road which guarantee the service. Based on the changes above, the proposal improves the handoff algorithm of mobile IP, setting a new node named transmit agent. The transmit agent acts as a buffer when the mobile node goes handoffs and reduces the overheads as same as the number of the hosts along the changing road which need to change. This proposal has been programmed and compiled on the network simulation platform NS, and tested successfully. The proposal and the original mobile IP are simulated and run separately on the same network testing environment simulated in the NS. The two simulation results are made by adding the speed of the mobile node step by step while the other parameters remain the same and the results are comprised and analysis in the throughput and the delay. The proposal is on the performance evaluation in the last part of the article.
