Classical Computerized numerical control system adopts analog voltage to drive servo cell,but computer's analog interface cell has much linear and discrete component, huge system and bad anti-jamming ability.In order to improve the efficiency of testing, make the use of space more reasonable, save the cost of production,solve the problem of testing CNC`s utmost action and can`t test all the components of the CNC when there is no load. The research of this subject utilize the characteristic of FPGA high integrated level, small volume, low consumption, high dependability and online debug, the method of SW/HW Co-Design, the characteristic of VHDL language:hiberarchy design methods, convenient revise, nice portability; and design a platform of Servo Simulator based on SoPC. After load the simulator software, it can simulate the motion of 16 motors at the same time, on the Simulator platform. And it can give the CNC a closed loop test.The first chapter introduces the present status and development of SoPC technology. Detail the method of SoPC design.In the second chapters,after respectively studying the Embedded Processor and Embedded Operating System type abroad and at home ,the author analyzed a Embedded Processor and a Embedded Operating System which is suitable for this project ARM922T and Linux.Then in the third and forth chapters, the author summerises the working principle of the Servo System, elucidate the idea of the Servo Simulator and the aim of the software designing clearly.This chapter systematically post the process of modeling of the Servo System and the realization of the software.In the fifth chapter this paper detailedly explained the realization process of Servo Simulator on ARM922T platform,including the porting of Linux, MiniGUI and the application. At last discribes the superiority of the Servo Simulator when testing CNC system.This subject is the sub-subject of knowledge innovation project of Chinese Academy of Sciences in the period of the State's Tenth Five-Year Plan that is open and intelligent systematic platform of numerical control.The project was applied in servo simulator.
