Research On Ditributed Search Engine Of Digital Library Based On P2P

In the 21st century, one of the global cultural and scientific competitions is focused on the digital library. The construction of digital library stands for the symbol of a nation's information standard. it is one of the main functions of digital library to provide valid retrieval means, it's difficult to search the accurate, efficient and fast-found information that is fit for the requirement of users when they face the information data in such amount based on the traditional Search Engines which are on the central servers key words search. Furthermore, the Search Engine Technology need further exploiting and consummating to meet the change of the new situation.In this thesis, it augments the scale of search engine and improves it performance by probing into the new information searching model, which is a peer-to-peer distributed searching model. So that an effective and accessible retrieval system of digital library which is based on metadata can be implemented. For this intention, the paper mainly does three works below.(1)The knowledge which are concerned with digital library, information retrieval, P2P technology, metadata technology and UML technology are analyzed at length, so the basis of P2P-based distributed search engine in digital library is built up.(2)A P2P-based structural model called P2P-DL is put forward, and some core function are discussed, designed and achieved, we also bring forward a new hybrid search algorithms base on the structural model, finally we analyze the performance of the algorithms with simulation.(3)To overcome the shortcoming that JXTA can only search files according to file name, this article has studied the application of DC metadata in JXTA, and implemented the meta data search on the JXTA platform.P2P-based searching methods provides new thoughtway for the digital library's distributed search, a methodology was given to construct a search engine based on P2P distributed searching technique, which enhance the performance of resource discovery and searching in digital library.
