The auto-test system of water pump with opened test-bed focuses on developing an universal auto-test platform for centrifugal pumps and mixed flow pumps with different types or different power, which provides performance test, cavitation test and leave factory test, and it provides a feasible method for pump test.The system discussed in this paper meets national standard GB/T3216, "the test method about centrifugal pump, mixed flow pump, axisymmetrical flow pump and torque flow pump". Its precision can reach B grade, the maximal power that can be tested is 315kW/380V, the range of pipe diameter that can be tested is from Φ50 to Φ400, the range of flux that can be tested is from 0 to 4000 m~3/h, and the maximal lift that can be tested is 600m.This design adequately stands out the thought of scattered control and concentrated management. Based on the technology of field bus, this system adopts Pc-Based programmable controller ADAM-5510M as the control and communication centre on the spot, and it adopts the industrial control computer as the main data storage and processor on the background, and all of them built up distributed digtal communication system with serial bus, bidirectional transmission and multiple-spot. Meters with standard interface are easy to be interchanged, and can be online monitor and setting, and its testing data can be display in the display panel and IPC instantly.This system adopts closed loop control structure, and adopts intelligent PID to speedup the control of dynameoelectric valve to guarantee the test precision. System has automatic, self-automatic and manual three operating mode to meet possible conditions flexiblely. The electromotors matched with pumps are graded six grades according to their power, which helps to start them up smoothly with corresponding start-up and control device. This meansure can reduce the drop of voltage of electrical network effectively and can guarantee system working well. The design of test pipes strictly conforms to the requirements of GB/T3216 and the installation of flowmeter, and they are easy to be changeable and refitted in the test.The test software is programmed with VB.net and runs in the Windows; the interface is friendly and the operation is simple. The testing data are filtered by the filtering mothod of limiting and averaging, which can eliminate disturbing data effectively. And the data are stored and managed by database, and they are easy to be query and compute. The performance test data are fitted by the least squared method aswell as the citivation test data are fitted by the nonlinear mothod. These two models can both get the perfect curve and satisfied precision.Through several experiments in our water pump test system, the results proved that this system can run steadily and its test precision and its automaticity are high. In short, it reaches the goal of our research.
