With the fast development of the beer industry, it is urgently for us to improve on the old product line and increase the production rate.high identifying speed and accuracy and auto identifying ability are becoming more and more necessary for the product line.The research of the empty bottle's defects inspecting system has been introduced to our country just several years before.In the developed country, there have many achievement for the empty bottle's defects inspecting system. However, it is not fit to the requirement of our beer industry due to the high price. We put forwardthe system based on DSP as the core processor to satisfy the quirement.Therefore, this paper deeply reseach the empty bottle inspection system based on DSP.This paper focuses on the application of image processing technology to the defect detection in empty bottle inspection. We collect the empty bottle digital-images and process the images. Based on pattern recognition principle, we can identify the image classification and improve the accuracy rate. We design an image processing system based on the DSP. Processing algorithms were realized on TechV-C6713.The main contributions of this dissertation are the followings:Firstly, for each gray image histogram modification and medium value filter is used to eliminate the disturbance of background. Threshold and edge extraction are also used to the process image. We can extract the feature of empty bottle according to image features.Secondly, different algorithms are used to identify the extracting image features based on pattern recognition theory, Such as template matching, BP neural network and SVM.Thirdly, the dissertation introduced the real-time image processing system. Processing algorithms realized on TechV-C6713.Finally, the experimental results had indicated the feasibility and accuracy for the empty bottle inspection system. And it had achieved the anticipated request in the speed and precision, has the very great practical value. At the same time, further study has the benefit from the achievements of this thesis.
