File System Design And Optimization Based On Asix Rtos

Embedded system is a kind of special computer system,which is focused around applications and based on computer technology.It is composed of scalable hardware and software.And it should be content with the need of function,reliability,cost,size and consumed power. Embedded software is one of the most active research in embedded system which is composed of embedded operating system, embedded applications and embedded system developing tools and environment.In the early development of embedded system, applications did not need to save operating data.With the development of embedded applications and improvement of system functions, they need to have both the data management ability and data saving ability. Now , many embedded systems add the multimedia function,which has a great deal of data needed to be dealing with . However , embedded systems are short of interior storage.They must extended exterior storage.And it should be managed by file systems.The aim of research is to realize file systems mangement on serial Garfield CMOS chips which are based on ARM processors.And it provides the service for MP3 decoding and database in the Garfield system.Firstly,the paper introduces the drivers realization of physical device such as Nand Flash and Multimedia Card which file system bases on. Secondly ,the paper introduces how to realize file systems mangement which includes FAT file systems principles ,the selection for file cluster,the rectification way of saving data failure and sharing the file system.At last ,the paper points out how to improve the performance of file system in Asix OS application and gives the optimization result .All the work described in the paper has been finished now. Through simple test , operating system has suceeded in running the new file system.It has realized both directory operations and file operations .
