The Research And Designment Of Video Conference Model Based On IPv6 Multicast Technology

With the development of the technology of multimedia and networking, text and voice communication via Internet can not meet the requirements of the people, and multimedia communication becomes more and more popular. Multimedia communication is a new widely used communication technology after telephone, telegraph and fax. Now Video conference, an application of multimedia communication, applies networking technology and multimedia codec to realize a virtual conference. Through video conference, people who are not in the same place can communicate freely and effectively with each other. Therefore it is a prospect article which do research on a suit of feasible video conference system based on IP network Multicast Technology and SIP.This paper mainly discusses IPv6 Multicast Technology and a video conference system model which is designed on the combination of Multicast Technology and SIP. Firstly it analyses that IPv6 Multicast Technology boosts up streaming media's information support. It designs Multicast protocol model on network equipment.And It discusses the transport feasibility of real time streaming media based on IPv6 network.Then it introduces streaming media's transport protocol on IPv6 network — Real-time Transport Protocol(RTP) , Session Initiation Protocol(SIP)'s criterion and correlative protocols , the feasibility of realizing video conference system, the differentiates between SIP and H.323. Finally this paper puts forward a video conference system model based on IPv6 Multicast Technology and SIP Technology. It introduces this system's software framework and system mutual process.
