Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD) has been more and more applied in electric products, such as VCD,DVD etc. It is with wider visual field, vivid display effect, rapidly reaction speed and more colors.Based on the commonly design procedure of the integrate circuit, we use the"top-down"design, and regarding to the whole chip's function, we carve it up into several modules. Meanwhile, in order to optimize some modules, we make a reference with the design experiences of other function-like circuits, using the"Bottom-to-up"methodology. Furthermore, we make a concerted design, which is based on the system frames, then, the layout of the whole chip is finished.This paper elaborate the bellows : the whole layout design of the chip, especially on the reset circuit,VFD high voltage drive circuit,the layout design and the ESD protected circuit . According to the practical experiences and the process technology characteristic, we make out the design rule which is applicable for VFD high voltage process technology, which involves the layout restriction clauses for ESD protection,LATCH-UP prevention.The design is MPW taped out successful by Wuxi CSMC of 0.6μm CMOS process. Through the chip sample test, this design is completely accord with the original requirement, it improve the input-output ports,reset circuit,ESD protection etc, which is superior with the same kinds production. Such VFD controller-driver integrated STANDBY function has showed a relative great competition advantage.
