Radar raster scan display technique is very important in the field of radar application. With the improving requirements of high resolution, multi color, high performance of synthesizing, present application has given radar raster scan display technique many new requirements.On the basis of the thorough research and analysis of the situation and technical difficulties in the field, an overall solution based on PCI Bus and high speed programmable logic device is given. Because the traditional graphics processor greatly obstructs the stability and flexibility of the radar raster scan display system, a new solution using the graphics ability of computer operation system and transforming the second information by PCI Bus is set forth in this paper. In the processing of the first information, an implementation of radar raster scan coordinate transform and video processing is realized based on FPGA. Furthermore, the display controller based on FPGA, and the storage for display with DDR SDRAM are accomplished including technical details.The paper describes the design solution of the key technology based on the study, introduces some new design ideas and realizing methods. The PCI Bus controller interface circuit, display controller and the display storage controller are placed emphasis on, simultaneously, the study and simulation of coordinate transform and video processing of radar raster scan display are given.
