"3S"technology is a collective term for GIS&GPS&RS. As the three important support technologies in acquistion, managing storage, updating, analyzing and applying space information in the earth detecting system,"3S"plays an important role in sustainable development of modern society, rational planning and utilization of resource, town and country planning and management, prevention and dynamic detection of natural calamity. Each of"3S"has its function in space information management. They can implement their function independently, and they also have much association with one another. In solving problem, they have their own advantages and disadvantages respectively. Combination and integration of"3S"is the development direction and certain trend of space technology.Basing on the above thought, this thesis combines RS and GIS in the research of"Minjiang waterway information management system". RS is used to acquire waterway space information with low cost and update the data of waterway information management system based on GIS in time; GIS transacts, centralizes, dynamic fetches and stores, displays many kinds of space and time data. In a word, this thesis try to design and implement a new waterway information manage system, which combines GIS and RS and have many function such as information acquisition, graphic display, information inquiry, database management and information analysis.The edge information of waterway is very important in the waterway information management, acquiring the edge information accurately and efficiently is very important to the high efficiency of waterway GIS system, The traditional method to acquire waterway edge is to measure manually, which update information slowly and costly. By processing the RS image acquired via satellite, we can extract waterway edge from RS image, thus can realize waterway dynamic management.In research of denoising RS image, edge extraction and revision, the design and implement of waterway GIS system, this thesis analyses the problem in the system realization, especially in the edge extraction from RS image, then raises an efficient algorithm for edge extraction, also gives a framework and function implementing method for an applied waterway GIS system.The waterway GIS information management system combined with RS image processing system has been used for a period of time, which proves that the fine performance system can improve the efficiency of minjiang waterway management and that it can make the management more scientifically, automatically and more valuable.
