Research And Implementation Of Application Sharing System Based On P2P Network

With the continuous development of software and hardware, the scope of using computer network gets larger and larger, thus there are abundant spare resources such as memory resources, computing resources, data resources and so on. The P2P technology provides a good solution to make use of these spare resources reasonably and efficiently. At the same time, with social development, people's work gets more complex, thus more and more projects need people to work in collaboration to complete. To meet this need, a new study area of how to integrate computer technology, communication technology, network technology and multimedia technology to support people to work together--the computer supported collaborative work (CSCW) has emerged. As a CSCW system implementation method, application sharing technology plays an important role. It allows the existing single applications support people's teamwork without modification or only with a little revision.In the thesis, the possibility of an application sharing system running on P2P network is discussed. Try to enable the collaborators to make full use of enormous resources on P2P network while enjoying the facilities of human resources and material resources brought by CSCW. The basic concepts,the architecture and main use occasions of P2P network is introduced firstly. The basic concepts and architecture of CSCW, the key technologies to implement the groupware system are also presented. Then several common application sharing technologies are discussed, and the X protocol is analyzed in detail. Based on this, an X-based application sharing system running on the P2P network is designed and implemented. The overall system design is presented. Also, the function of important modules, the key technologies and the implementation of the system are introduced in detail.Finally the thesis discusses the characteristics of P2P network and the X protocol, puts forward the deficiencies exist in the system, and gives the further improvement measure, aiming to provide meaningful information for the follow-up study.
