Application Program Development For PC Port Of Video Camera Based On COM Technology

Each series of video camera must develop PC port application program in order to transport the data between video camera and PC and to control each other. This thesis introduces an application program for PC port of video camera based on COM-technology. This program not only makes the two type of video camera interact with PC each other but also the module components which has specific functions are developed. Therefore, it is significant for the application program development of PC port of video camera.At first, the program structure of video camera for PC port is devised after reseached the technique of COM principles, COM process and COM reuse etc. The background of the program is HDV/DV video camera and the theory of layered software is applied. This program can be divided into three parts. The top layer is user interface, the middle is COM-component and the bottom includes the basic active-link components.After determining the whole structure and functional modules of this program, every component of program is achieved by Active Template Library on the background of Visual Studio. Net issued by Microsoft. The module components of middle level are composed by using COM technique and bottom library . The major interactive function of video camera and PC can be fulfilled and support interface too. The user interface is achieved by means of these modules which is convenient for customers to use. Since functional modules are in the form of plug-and-in, it can be used in every video camera of HDV/DV pattern.Furthermore, the top-layer user interface is also devised by means of middle components, MFC and Windows program. The program includes Importer and Exporter which unified video camera and PC together. The Importer program can import all the data in the video camera into PC while the Exporter program can export all the data into video camera. Meanwhile, PC can control all operation of video camera. In a word, the program can be easily operated and used in video camera, hence, reputation have been highly commended.
