Research On Virtual Management Architecture And Its Implementation In VSDS

With the rapid development of information technology, the scale and mount of resource systems become larger and larger. It is difficult to manage and integrate the resource system. But it is essential and important for enterprises to build a reasonable resource management infrastructure. Therefore, the thesis aims to study how to solve the problem of management and integration of resource systems through a new type of management architecture, including studying the management architecture and designing and implementing the management system of VSDS based on the architecture.With the requirement of management and integration of resource systems, a new type of resource management architecture based on virtualization technologies is provided, which is named VMA(Virtual Management Architecture). VMA is composed of several resource systems and each resource system provides a type of resource. And VMA abstracts and unifies the management functions of resource systems. It means that the interfaces of resource systems are unified. So that the differences of the operations between systems are eliminated and the complexity of management is degraded. Also the article studies the existed management standards such as CIM, WBEM and SMI-S, and defines the CIM-based management information model that describes the managed entities of system.In order to simplify the configuration and management of VSDS, it is necessary to design and develop the effective and simple management system of VSDS. The paper proposes a type of object-based management system architecture, which regards resource systems as objects and each object has the same methods. Also, the functions of the management system of VSDS are analyzed. And the paper defines the notion of virtual user system, which provides special services for users. The thesis describes the detailed implementations of management system of VSDS, including the processes of the management operations and the involved technologies used in development, such as XML, XSLT and SOAP etc. In addition, the last part of the paper introduces a test method that applies to Web applications, tests several important operations of management system and analyses the test results.
