Since 1990s, the thriving of tourism has accelerated the a large amount of TV programs on traveling, such as news, live shows, entertainment games, interviews, newsreels, and so on. The avalanche of TV programs on traveling has a profound significance on the development of TV program and the spreading of traveling information. On one hand, those TV programs on traveling has broadened the information on TV. consolidated the cultural and educational function of TV, and served the people by offering traveling information and tips. On the other hand, tourism is the typical information-depending industry which has to spreading its information via the popular media as TV for the mutual profit.TV programs on traveling started not very late and at first belonged to the variety of service programs. But recently, it developed not so fast, compared to the programs on news, entertainment, sports, and so on. With the changes on the market and customs on traveling, programs in the tradition types didn't meet the needs of the traveling department and the market. The market consciousness as well as the program marketing doesn't stand on the opposite side of the cultural characteristic of a program, and these two factors can be put into the TV execution.The emergence of Traveling Channel is one step in the course of the traveling program's becoming perfect and affluent. This channel has an outstanding interaction with many local traveling departments and traveling agencies, which makes us see the clasping relationship between the TV industry and the Traveling industry.
