With the development of Internet and the coming of the post-PC era, the embedded systems is becoming the center of interest in the IT industry and exhibiting broad potential market. Meanwhile, the embedded applications are calling for better performance and functionality of embedded systems. At current stage, the embedded devices commonly require the supports of network and multi-task. Therefore, how to design an excellent integrated platform for multifunctional embedded applications is the focus of this thesis.ARM is the leading provider of 32-bit embedded RISC microprocessors. ARM offers a wide range of processor cores and delivering high performance together with low power consumption and system cost, high performance. The ARM7 processor is more applied in this market now. But the processor ability of ARM9, the new generation processor, can be more than twice of that of ARM7 by the way of new design and more transistors. Moreover, the series of ARM9 can own the ability of MMU, so it can become the bloodstream of development of embedded system. S3C2410 processor is a one with low power consumption and high integration that is based on the core of ARM920T and designed by the company of Samsung. The embedded application the thesis depict is the embedded product that is based on this processor.uClinux operation system is derived of Linux. It inherits lots of virtues of Linux such as open source, supporting wide range processors, powerful networking, outstand documentation and so on. Also, its inner core is a lot smaller than that of Linux. Moreover, the preponderance of cheapness and easiness of transplant make uClinux applied broadly.The main work of dissertation could be summarized as follows. Fistly, the concept of embedded system and uClinux operation system are presented. And a hardware platform is developed. Secondly, the paper introduces how to transplant ppcboot and uClinux to the platform. At this time, a platform with hardware and software is wholly developed. The platform needs a lot of interfaces when it is in the coming exploration. So, the essay introduces how to transplant series interface drive procedure, net interface drive procedure and USB interface drive procedure into the platform and make a test accordingly after studying every interface procedure. At last, we designed the WEB SERVER on the platform and equally make a test.
