Software Defined Radio(SDR), first proposed in 90's in last century, is akind of techno-logy which has great future in communication application. It can satisfy the demand of the modern wireless communication such as the software realization of the system functions and the modularization of the hardware, andmake it easy to update the system with less cost.Based on the theory of Software Defined Radio, the implementation of an relatively universalmulti-DSPplatform is discussed and researched.Multiprocessor parallel processing (MPP) system is found widely application in real time signal processing area. ]t's very useful to study on it. This paper first introduces the architecture taxonomy of MPP system .The architecture of parallel system, memory system,network topologies and the methods of processor connecting are discussed particularly, The advantages and disadvantages of them are analyzed roundly.Based on the comparison of various DSP processing elements. One high performance processing element suited for multiprocessor DSP system is selected. One sort of high performance MPP module & high efficiency architecture of multiprocessor system are made out. Matrix multiplication and FFT, two commonly used algorithm in the area of DSP, are implemented with parallel method .And the analysis of their results is performed. Finally,an optima] scheme to the space/time adaptive signal processing system is presented.
