The inertial navigation system is needed in the development of navigation and aviation. The stabilized platform is one of the most important part in the navigation system which determines the precision..The solution combines classical PID law with analogue electronic system is now a mature technology. This paper analysis this technology in theory and experimentation, the result shows that this technology is feasible, but on the other hand the classical PID law is not so good in precision, response speed, disturbance rejection and the analogue electronic system is big, costly and frequently in failure. So the choice of advanced control law and digital control is now the main fashion. Under this background this paper research the digital control method to use for the stabilized platformThis paper discuss the Sliding Mode Variable Structure(SMVS) control of stabilized platform circuit. The simulation results that the system based on PID control theory has characteristics of fast response speed and higher peak overshoot and it also has a good performance of tracking. But it's lack of ability of disturbance rejection. The stabilized platform circuit designed based on SMVS has fast response speed, higher ability of disturbance rejection and has no peak over shoot, namely, the system is robust. The digital control is not a new conception, but the use of Digital Signal Processor(DSP) as the executor does not begin till recent decades. DSP has high operation speed and precision, and the TMS3201f2407 DSP used in the paper has the capacity of float point operation. All of the characteristics make the realization of advanced control law more easy. Using 2407 DSP as core this paper designed and debugged the hardware and software which consists of data sampling, signal outputting and communication. The result is good.
