CRT held an important position in the display technology area in the past few years. With the development of panel display technology, thin and light TV/display replaces the CRT and becomes popular in our life .So the panel display age is coming. OLED owns the characteristic of self-illumination, high speed reaction, no visual angle limitation, low power consumption and this advantage will help it occupy part of the display market sooner or later.OLED display technology is being engaged into research all over the world. In our country, several groups and corporations are involved in this area. This dissertation is a research thesis about the design of OLED screen display system with the combination of FPGA, OLED, DVI 1.0 technology. Besides, the OLED screen is the 128* 128 pixel full color screen produced by SVA Electron Inc.In the dissertation, we introduce the OLED drive theory and especially analyze Passive Matrix (PM) technology. Based on the theory, we design the drive circuit module. For the OLED driver is a digital equipment, we bring Digital Video Interface (DVI) into this system. DVI is used to deliver digital video signal to OLED system, avoiding signal loss during the transmission. We introduce the DVI 1.0 protocol and analyze the process of DVI. Besides, EDID is also introduced into this dissertation to achieve the whole system function. The core chip of the OLED display system is Spartan II XC2S200 FPGA manufactured by Xilinx Inc. With this chip, we can precisely control the command sequence and latency to help us analyze and debug the OLED display system. We offer special design plan on the basis of the 128* 128 pixels OLED, and realize the system finally.The main contribution of the dissertation:1.
