With the rapid development of radio communication technology, the rational use of wireless, which has been one kind of carriers of information, has been an important position in the national economic and defense construction. At the same time, as the wide use of wireless operation, the wireless resource is more and more limited and the electromagnetic environment becomes worse. To build a scientific, canonical and effective wireless system in order to meet the social requirement, the advanced monitoring technology is significant.The design of wireless Direction Finding (DF) and Location in this paper, is mainly accomplishes the direction and location of lawless broadcasting stations and unknown jamming signal source. This is one of significant function in the monitoring system. Based on this, the monitor can fulfill the relative detective work, banish the bad disturbance, provide technology support for the frequency distributing, and make full use of the frequency resource.This paper relates to knowledge in some kind of subject, such as shortwave monitoring and wireless direction finding and location technology, software engineering thinking, Geographic Information System and voice disposing etc. The thesis begins with introducing the meaning and actuality of DF and location system, bases on the project requirement mentioned by the national wireless management committee and the foreland of wireless detective profession, and discusses the basic conception, operation, composing and the mainly function.
