Study On Application Of RSS Technology In Library's Network Information Services

As a kind "PUSH" technical representative, RSS technology was developed rapidly in the fields of Net News, electronic commerce, BLOG, the electronic publication and so on. the purpose of this dissertation is to studying the realization of RSS function in library's network information services.The existence and the development of library and the information technology progress has a reciprocal condition, also, the numeral environment popularization based on the network has brought various challenges for the development of library evolution. Library's network information services such as WEB OPAC, the specialized database, the virtual reference system and so on have subverted the traditional library information service way in some ways, thus, it becomes a important constituent part of the library information services. A new technical method was addressed by the using of RSS technology.Theoretical and practical research interrelated to RSS technology utilized in library's network information services were both discussed in this study.
