Ad Hoc network is a kind of self-created, self-organized, and self-administered wireless-mobile network in recent years. Due to its characteristics of without any fixed infrastructure and without being limited by fixed topology, Ad hoc networks are applied in military environment, earthquake and flood emergency, rescue mission in outfield. Besides, it can supply rapid configurable ability as wireless access network. At home and abroad, there is wide range of researches on Ad Hoc. The research of Ad Hoc has developed into a brand new field from a small branch of telecommunication. The literature of Ad Hoc network research is carefully scrutinized in this paper. Due to its own characteristics,Routing technique is the key technique of Ad Hoc network and one of the most important factors that affect the performance of the network. As the dynamic and variable topology, those traditional routing protocols can not be applicable to Ad Hoc network and new routing protocol must be designed. In recent years, some special routing protocols for Ad Hoc network appeared such as AODV, DSR and DSDV. But to the whole fields of Ad Hoc routing techniques, it still has a long way to go, all those routing protocols are need to be improved as there is no any standard protocol existing for Ad Hoc network. Ad Hoc routing technique needs a further research and development. The dissertation studied Ad Hoc routing protocols in detail .It improve traditional Routing protocol using ant routing and genetic algorithm based on AODV routing protocol. Using ant to detect route, the efficiency of finding Route is improved. Route selection strategy ,which based on artificial recognized genetic algorithm, can update optional route group. Choosing high efficient route, the time of route break and reconstruct is decreased and the successful data transformation efficiency is increased.
