Research Of Radar Image Capture Compression Technology In Embedded System

Voyage Data Recorder is an equipment which can record ship navigation status and manipulation information and take an important role on navigation safety at sea and accident analysis.In all recorded data, Radar image data is the most veritably and directly. Video capture system can record the real-time video data during voyaging and find out the real reason of accident. Therefore video capture compression system has become a major part of Voyage Data Recorder.This research subject is radar capture and compression system of Voyage Data Recorder. The research completes design and realization of radar video capture system's driver under the VxWorks operate system ; studys and improves the compression algorithmn JPEG2000 and its kernel algorithm-Embeded Block Coding of Optimizing Truncation(EBCOT).This article first introduces the topic research background and the significance ,then introduces the embedded operate system VxWorks and its development environment Tornado2.2,and studies the PCI signal and its the disposition technology, develops PCI device driver under the VxWorks.And designs the driver program.Then expounds clearly coding course of JPEG2000 standard algorithm. Finally studys thoroughly EBCOT which in the JPEG2000 and gives improved method.
