This thesis introduces the design and realization of PLC Programme Tool Software in Hydropower Automation Monitoring and Control System. PLC System is composed of manage computer, master device and I/O modules. Programme Software runs in Windows-based manage computer system and it has many functions, such as hardware configuration, editing with Ladder Diagram, simulated running of control programs, communications with master device, and so on. This software is a necessary tool of editing control programs, debugging control programs and real monitoring for PLC system designer.The mission of this project is to design PLC Programme Tool Software which is used in Hydropower Automation Monitoring and Control System. The paper firstly introduces the hardware configuration and principle of PLC System. It also introduces the whole structure and function modules composing of PLC Programme Software. It presents the arithmetic that is achieved by postorder traversing binary tree, which is built from AOV diagraph, based on investigating the arithmetic of interchanging between the Ladder Diagram and Instruction List, and the interpretation and execution of PLC programming language. The whole software is developed in Visual C++ IDE with MFC and multi-threads mechanism. The software is well constructed and conforms to a standard of IEC61131. It has friendly interface and includes many modules of different function, such as system configuration, editing with Ladder Diagram, interchanging between the Ladder Diagram and Instruction List, interpretation of instruction, simulation of programs, network communication, and so on. Then the paper discusses the realizing of each part in detail.The software has been tested and proved to meet the expected requirements. It can be applied in PLC system.
