The development of information technology and the extensive application of Internet provide the traditional remote teaching with new ideas and methods. By emphasizing multimedia and network technologies, and using networks as the means of transmitting information, network teaching offers a new means of education and changes the conventional instilling way of teaching which centers on the teachers. And by emphasizing students' active learning, it also breaks the limitation of single-directed knowledge spreading in the traditional teaching style. It will inevitably become the trend of the development of the future education.However, at the current stage, many network tutoring systems that are on the basis of Web lack personality and intelligence, especially short of experiment part, which results in low quality of instruction. Furthermore, most of distance tutoring system lacks cooperative capability.To the shortage of distance tutoring systems, this paper designs and implements of Intelligent Experiment Tutoring System on Network based on Web and Agent (BWA-IETSN). BWA-IETSN is based on Cognitive Science, using the achievement of AI, psychics in education and Computer Science etc. Putting agent techniques into experiment tutoring system on web, and using its properties of demonstration, instruction guidance, cognitive estimation and cooperative learning can improve teaching effect and enhance self-adaptation and autonomy of intelligent tutoring system.On the basis of the theory of Intelligent Tutoring System and agent techniques are researched, this paper designs student-agent, teacher-agent and cooperative learning-agent model by the analysis of requirement of experiment learning on web, offers an effective model and an actual framework of BWA-IETSN.
