In order to promote the competitions of Internet Banking products and in order to keep up with international Internet Banking service, Bank of China decides to build safe and effective new Internet Banking platform and change the structure of Internet Banking Service from distribution to intergration and from C/S to B/S. According to the planning, for the first stage, Bank of China develops a new project IBSS for Personal Internet Banking Service based on J2EE Platform, mainly facing the personal customers. The second stage is to develop the service for Enterprise customers. Through the new Internet Banking Service, Bank of China hopes to make the leading role in Internet Banking Service in China.As to Internet Banking system, the data security is the first important. The most importmant data is stored in Internet Banking Database after data encrypted.In this article, After the introduction of the theory of DES and 3—DES data encryption algorithm, a new project IBSS of Bank of China is successfully implemented 3—DES data encryption based on J2EE platform. In this project, Eclipse 3.1 integrated developing environments is used as developing platform, IBM WebSphere is used as Application Server, Oracle9i is used as Database Server of end side, the Consumer e—Financialance Suite (CeFS) and Bill Payment and Transfer Warehouse (BPTW) of FinancialFusion Banking Suite products are used as part of Banking Service products, the MVC is used as design patterns. As to the use of 3—DES data encryption algorithm in this project IBSS, the customers' password and key information are stored in Internet Bank Database CIF(Customer Information File)after 3—DES data encryption. And also this new project is working successfully in Beijing branch and Shanghai branch of the data collection center of Bank of China.
