Application Research On VPN Technology In Logistics Enterprises

With the development of logistics enterprises, there is more and more international enterprises. The amount of the branch office has increased drastically and brings a lot of new demand of network. VPN (Virtual Private Network) is a kind of new technique, which implements the transportation of private data on the open network by tunneling technology and security configuration. Because of its expansibility, economy, security and reliability, VPN has become more and more popular in logistics enterprises.This paper firstly introduces the definition and sorts of VPN, then describes the society and technology background in which VPN appeared. Considering the function and management of logistics enterprises, this paper presents the advantages of VPN technology in global ones. Then, it summarizes the design principles, technology requirement and evaluation system of VPN in logistics enterprises.On the basis of analysis of the demand of logistics enterprises, this paper designs a classic architecture of VPN, and gives the network topology in detail. In the last part of this paper, it proposes the scheme and configuration of Remote Access VPN, Site-to-Site IPSec VPN, Extranet VPN and the http Server with SSL VPN.The aim of this paper is to introduce and analyze VPN as a mature technology which is being applied in logistics enterprises. On the basis of the analysis and research , this paper designs the architecture of VPN in logistics enterprises.
