We all live in a gorgeous world, it has white cloud, light rainfall, multicoloredfireworks, flamy blaze......, but how can we represent these phenomenon in ourvirtual computer world? Don't worry, we can realize them through particle system. With high speed development in computer graphics, the demand of vision producted by computer becomes higher, pursues both the authenticity and interaction. Under this kind of motive force, the particle system certainly will be developed towards higher goal, should not merely request "similar to", further requires "alike in spirit", this calls for the physical model adopted in the system should be more and more accurate. In order to meet people's high vision demand, choosing suitable model and realizing it becomes the pivot of research.In this thesis, firstly, we presented the rudimentary knowledge involved in detail, such as mathematics, computer graphics and hydrodynamics. The important formula used below had corresponding course of deriving, in order to make the argumentation below more easier.Then, we have introduced the basic theories of the particle system, explained the basic method of structuring model emphatically. We divided the actual operation of the particle system into several steps, including particle attribute establishing, particle producing, particle updating, particle rendering, and explained each operation step in detail;Classified particle system as particle model system and fluidity model system, interpreted the characteristics of these two kinds of model systems;Have enumerated two examples of particle model system, the explanation of these two examples accorded to the process above, showed the operation rules and regulations of each step;Finally paper discussed the graphics technologies of particle rendering.In succession, we started to research the fluidity model system, explained the course that put hydrodynamics formula into particle system. As transition and contrast, this chapter firstly discussed a example that realized the fluid motion with Euler method. This example involved the physical model, but only consulted theformula and replaced it with relevant algorithms, not really solve the formula;Then we started to interpret how to simulate the fluid motion using particle system, firstly we put forward the physical formula used, Navier-Stokes continuous equation, then applied SPH method to the equation, derived, changed continuous equation to discrete form;In succession, we explained the problems encountered during the course of realization one by one, wished to express my thought then;Finally we also discussed the graphics technology principles involved.The last, we interpreted the layout of this paper, and pointed out the insufficiencies and innovation.
