Industrial control has shifted its control focus towards centralization and distribution instead of utilizing individual units as in the past. The networking era has begun and tightened control used to be spread out. Industrial control equipment networking has provided network management added convenience. CAN is one of the industrial control equipment networking arrangement. As a leading technology, it is a remote telecommunication network system with remarkable dependability and functionality at a very reasonable cost. CAN has been widely adopted in each and every control system with automation.This paper has designed and developed a monitor system on a basis of CAN Bus. This system has utilize a lot of more advanced technologies incorporated in computer, remote access, communication, network and circuit design. It provides the system with needed control and observation function. It has the ability to perform complex mathematics applications, stable performance, with exceptional functions and competitive pricing.The serial data collection system of this paper composed of the benefits both a single-chip and micro computer, which is the strength of both components. The benefits of having a single-chip are high performance, simplicity and low cost. On the other hand, micro computer is capable of doing complex mathematics, imaging and imitation, networking and telecommunication. The system not only could control the function of a single-chip using software, it also provide data storage, data handling and data analysis with database. Taking advantage of the development of micro controler, combine with MSP430F149, a real time control unit is built with the ability to collect and show data, communicate and deliver on-off signals to other units. Monitor soft with VC not only are capable of collecting data and provides observation, it could also deliver commands to the central controlling unit.This test demonstrates the system operates with stability and reliability and we highlyrecommend it.
