The softswitch technique is a kind of new call control technique developed in recent years. It has already become mainstream technique of the electric circuit commutation toward packet commutation evolving gradually. With the NGN (Next Generation Network) conception being put forward, the study of softswitch technology is coming to a climax. The NGN is the network that makes softswitch as its core and has open service architecture. Service is independent of call control is one of the most important two ideas of softswitch, so open service architecture is required to be built. Open service APIs can manage this architecture, and they become the hot spot of the study of softswitch technology now. Among such APIs, Parlay API which was proposed by Parlay group provides new opportunities for rapid and efficient service creation by offering a standard way for the third party service provider to access and control core network resources.Firstly, according to Parlay specification version 3.3, this thesis builds up a service providing model of softswitch system based on Parlay, and thoroughly researches the way of framework working in the model. Then, for facilitating distributing application, puts forward the way of application accessing Parlay API over Corba. On the foundation of service providing model based Parlay, designs a safe and open unified service platform. This platform is set up above various loading network, shields detail of each loading network, and provides a core ability set. This core ability set can provide different service to end user, and provides the open interface to outside. The third party service providers can develop service by making use of this platform, and operators can put more energy in the network constructing, finally, establishes a perfect industry value chain. At last, this thesis sets up a prototype system of unified service platform, after testing this system, gets the satisfied result.The topic of this thesis sources from ZTE Corporation's next generation broadband intelligence network project: The research and the realization of unified service development and running platform in softswitch system based on the OSA/PARLAY. The research result will have the importance leading meaning to this project.
