A Congestion Controlling Scheme Based On MPLS Traffic Engineering

With the rapid progress of Internet, the amount of information hasincreased rapidly and the congestion of Internet has become more and moreserious. The congestion control mechanism is very difficulty to designbecause of the complexity of Internet and the demanding of it.Althoughtmany of researches have been done in this field,the problem of congestionhas not been solved completely.By now,the study of control theory andalgorithm is still the focus.Usually in the process of congestion control there are several phasesincluding normal, congestion avoidance and congestion. How to responseto the congestion three phasese in the downstream router is the stuy pointin this paper, MPLS and traffic engineering is a heat point in theinternational study.The goal of Traffic engineering and the congestincontrol is same:to guard the Qos.In this paper ,congestion control schemebased on traffic engineering which take advantage of mpls nets edgeintelligence and the connecting characteristic, take different actionsaccording to different servic level.so gain the goal of alleviatingcongestion and make full use of nets resource.On the basis of study and device, take the net simulation softwareOpenet Modeles . The experiment results reveal that the congestion controlalgorithm can guard the Qos, and improves on congestion controlperformance of Router to some extent.
