Reverse engineering is a fast development emerging subject, is a systematize engineering synthetic utilizing computer vision, computer graphics, control theory, digital image processing, sensor etc. advanced theory, technical and method, is various subjects overlapping research field. Combining reverse engineering with rapid prototyping has brought a kind of brand-new product design, manufacturing and 3-D measurement patterns. At present the development of overseas reverse equipment and the software t is quick, level is high, but the price is very expensive, therefore, developing domestic equipment and software is urgent. This paper has summarized the research and application condition of reverse engineering technology in the domestic and foreign, and its vital role in rapid prototyping technology, at the same time, has elaborated this topic' theory and practical significance. The structure light 3-D measurement system is based on the structure light scanning binocular vision measurement of machine vision diffraction grating code principle technology. Careful choosing and designing the hardware systems of structure light 3-D measurement and detailed elaborating essential technology algorithm and its achievement in measurement system error analysis software. This error analysis is divided into three technologies unit: the reading and demonstration of 3-D data format, the pre-conjoining of 3-D graph based on collecting point and the full conjoining of three dimensional graphs based on ICP algorithm, and the obtaining and color display of error value. The error analysis part is an important link of structure light 3-D measurement system, this paper discusses such technology as man-machine interactive contact surface collecting, multi-vision data's justify and localization, error value obtaining of different 3-D data. In addition, according to the characteristics of structure light 3-D measurement system and error analysis software proposes a kind of rapid collecting point technology "based on orthogonal projection method of radiation" and highly efficient method for justifying "points within triangle" during obtaining error value, and gives concrete achieving details. Finally summarizes the work that has done and forecast the prospects for development to reverse engineering technology.
