Capacity Research Of WCDMA And Technology Application To Distribution Automation

The present thesis analyze voice and packet data services performance of WCDMAsystem, as defined by 3GPP. As to voice services, because WCDMA system capacity islimited to reverse link capacity, we focus on analyzing the characteristics and performance ofthe reverse link. Then, we discuss and compute several parameters effected on the capacity.Finally, we do theoretical analysis and computer simulations of the reverse link capacity, anddraw conclusions from the simulation result. As to the packet data services, after introducingthe characteristics and performance of the packet data service, we propose a new solution ofusing WCDMA communication technique to transmit the DA information, according to therequirements of distribution automation (DA) on communication system. Then, it is obtainedby analyzing the actual communication techniques adopted by DA, and the solution isanalyzed and designed. Finally, we analyse and estimate system performance of distributionautomation based on WCDMA technology, and realize the conversion of communicationspecification.
