It has been more than 30 years since the embedded system had been invented.In the recent years,the embeded system has become more and more powerful with the developement of CMOS technology.The embeded CPUs have outnumbered the general CPU.Since the invention of the first ARM prototype in Cambridge in England,the 32-bit ARM RISC CPU has been used in all kinds of fields and it has occupied most marcket of the 32-bit application.With the popularization of automatization system in industry and with the developement and application of computer network, the network is sure to be used in industrial application. It will be exigent of The remote monitoring and controlused in industrial devices.The embeded Linux got the characteristics below:open source;can be easily customized;the support for all kinds of network.As a branch of embeded linux, uClinux is mainly used in non-mmu MCU field.The remote monitoring and control technology is applying computer network technology upon device monitoring, It is through Internet or Intranet that the industrial devices can be monitored and controlled, and the necessary data can be achieved.Unfortunately the current field bus such as CAN can't be connected to Internet directly. So it is necessary to implement a system which can interconnect the networks.In this paper, we study the application of S3C44B0X based on ARM7TDMI architecture and implement a embed web server which is constructed on B/S network mode.The server is based on S3C44B0X, and the uClinux which schedules the tasks and build the boa network server is ported to S3C44B0X. The system can interconnect CAN and Ethernet, it contains some basic interfaces, such as RS232. The paper discusses the problems that may be met during the design process of ARM system and porting process of uClinux and raise the solutions to the problems. The system costs less and has high performance, it has a bright future. At last, the paper summarize the design work and make a vista of the application of the embeded system.
