With the rapid increase of domestic mobile users and the elevated requirement, the provider of mobile network must improve the capability of the network to gain more satisfaction from the consumers and improve the market competency. To have a comprehensive knowledge of the present situation of the mobile phone network quality so as to solve the necessary signal requirement, the providers need to do full-scale test and analysis before the adjustment of the network performance and cover region. However, there exist many problems in the current testing systems: some are lack of agility, which have to be equipped with vehicles, and unsuitable for indoor test. Some are designed to a certain signal and can test one or a few signal only, which not only brings high test cost but also lowly efficiency. To solve the above problems, we have designed a new test system, and the process of design and implementation is given in this paper. This system is make up of pocket PC, test phone and CF card of Global Position System, which is very delicate and convenient to take and ease to operate. The software of the system is designed and programmed based on Windows CE. The paper is based on the design of the test system and gives an analysis of the relative theories, technology and the implementing method. According to the practical experiences of project development, through detailed study of the requirement of the PDA mobile network testing system and the implementation of the object-oriented software method, I developed this system based on Windows CE. During the period of system design, detailed analysis and class-graph design is made to clarify the system function and in the process of realization period, the discussion of the key technologies, such as multi-thread, MapX component, communication in series of PDA is given, as well as the resolvent and code in the system. At last, this paper gives a summary presention of the development experiences and advanced proposals.
