Design And Realization Of Hunan Province's Computer Rank Examination System

As the computer application technology and network technology developing increasingly, the computer courses are deeply developed in the colleges. Every year the computer rank examination is taken by the common colleges in Hunan Province. Because of the upgrading of the operating system and computer applications, the computer rank examination system is designed and built again. The new examination system is based on the new operating system and new computer applications, it is developed by the new developing tool of VB.NET. The new system is valuable, because it fulfills the demands of the new test, otherwise, the new system makes a very big progress in the security stability and universality. This paper discusses the design and realization of the computer rank examination system, the content includes five units:Unit 1: We mainly introduce the source of the project, the background and the actuality of the research about the examination system, the meaning of the design.Unit 2: Based on the circumstance, the whole examination system is designed by subsystem. The whole system is divided into five subsystems. They are the subsystem of question database the subsystem of test management the server software the client software and the subsystem of dealing with the result of the test. Each subsystem has its database. Subsystems are connected by database. All affairs that relate to the examination will be finished by the subsystems.Unit 3: The database of the examination system is based on the content object and flow of the test. First we introduce the design of the questions database and examinees database, They are the basic data of the whole system, the question database includes all the information of the questions, the examinees database includes all the information about the examinee's; Second we introduce the design of the server's database, the server is based on SQL Sever; Otherwise we introduce the temp database used in data's transfer and backup .Unit 4: We analyze the design and realization of the five functionmodels, they mainly include the design of the operating flow the design of interface the distribution of the operator's power and so on.Unit 5: The main development technologies of examination system are discussed in details, such as Visual Basic. NET ADO. NET Word Object Model Excel Object Model, the technologies are widely used in the examination system's design.The new system was researched at the March 2004, it was used first at November 2004.In the past three times examination, the system ran stably, the interface is friendly, the operation was easy, it greatly relaxed the workload and was praised by the common colleges.
