The space-borne SAR(Synthetic Aperture Radar) can get radar images with high resolution. The technology of SAR takes application vastly in both military and civil fields. The Doppler centroid real-time estimation is one of the important parts of the real-time imaging processor of SAR. Due to the large amount and high-speed of the radar data transaction, it is a real challenge for real-time realization of Doppler centroid estimation. Therefore, it is very important to achieve the Doppler centroid real-time estimation efficiently with refined structure and software- hardware optimization.This paper focuses on the design of the Doppler centroid real-time estimation processing board . Firstly the imaging theory of space-borne SAR is introduced. Secondly the Doppler centroid real-time estimation algorithm is analyzed. Thirdly the ADSP-TS101s is employed as the core processor to carry out the Doppler centroid real-time estimation based on the structured design. The structure design and software flow optimized, the hardware resource exploited economically, the Doppler centroidreal-time estimation is realized.Based on the theory of the SAR Doppler centroid real-time estimation, this paper discusses the parallel processing technology usually used in high-speed DSP, including parallel in a chip or inter-chip parallel or inter-subsystem parallel. More attention is paid to the structural design of Doppler centroid real-time estimation processing board and modules in details are shown in this paper. In the end, Doppler centroid real-time estimation based on correlation Doppler estimator is performed on the DSP platformWith the development of VLSI, high density memory with high speed and computer technology, the real-time processing system of SAR keeps rapid development continuously, including its realization fashion, algorithm and system structure. However, space-borne real-time signal processing system of full digital and high-resolution is still a challenge. This dissertation takes the example with the design of Doppler centroid real-time estimation of space-borne real-time system. Wish it help the future design of full digital space-borne real-time system of SAR.
