Blu-ray Based DVD Scenario Design Technology

In this paper, I intend to introduce the implementation of the Blu-ray based DVD scenario design technology and the corresponding product: Scenario Designer which is the front-end of the Blu-ray Disc Authoring product line and is used to build still image in scenario element construction.The core of the work is to offer image materials that meet the need of Blu-ray technology standard. Some classical algorithms in this area are analyzed in the paper. Moreover, I did further exploration and produced advanced algorithms, such as introducing the idea of Neural Network in the color quantization, and the image dithering technology based on thought of Riemersma algorithm, method of error-diffusion along the Hilbert curve, which gives great performance. The algorithm in this paper also has superior features in handling images with alpha channel by doing extension of RGBA color space in algorithms and optimization of transparent colors. Finally, we evaluate the quality and efficiency of this algorithm and other classical algorithms, and attach the result data in the paper.In order to explain the superiority of Scenario Designer, we compare it with popular image processing software like Photoshop and ACD See, and analyze its pros and cons.In the final chapter, we draw a conclusion of the whole paper, and propose the improvement in the future.
