The WorldFIP-RS485 Protocol Transformer

Fieldbus control system is a new generation control system appearing after distributed control system. The appearance of fieldbus control system makes the field instrument face a new change. Digitalization, intelligent, and networked is the developing direction of field instruments.The technology and equipments of AC speed regulating have been developing rapidly since 1990s. Inverters which are important equipments for AC speed regulating are applied widely in industries because of its high dependability and antijamming abilities. But most inverters in the current market can not connect with the fieldbus system directly.The aim of this thesis is to introduce a kind of the WorldFIP — RS485 protocol transformer, which realizes the communication between inverters and the WorldFIP fieldbus through protocol transforming. The WorldFIP—RS485 protocol transformer is a complement of the WorldFIP fieldbus equipments, and it has a widely practicality.This thesis expatiates the design of the hardware and the software of the WorldFIP— RS485 protocol transformer, including the components selecting, the circuit designing and programming. The process of debugging is explained at the same time.
