Security Surveillance is a significant issue in Intelligent Storage System. Along with the development of science and the social demands, multifarious alarming system has been designed and improved to be intelligentized, modularized and have network connections. It is of great moment to make the storage, and further more, the logistics system increasingly efficient and perfect with modern science and technology.This thesis proposed a frame of Storage Security Surveillance System, and briefly introduced each function modules including CAN bus and sensor signals collecting and processing units, emergency processing module, video monitoring unit and patulous functions. Thereinto, the implement of Digital Video Monitoring System became the pivot of the whole thesis and discussed delecately. Intel SA-1110, as a main controller, assured steady network transmission and the implement controlling functions of the system;while TI TMS320C6211 was chosen to be the video coding processor. H.263 with excellent performance was chosen as the core video compressing framework. At request of CIF image, 512Kbsp bitrate, encoding 25 frames per second, the system could achieve real-time efficiency. The research jobs of this thesis are as follows:a) Studied key technologies and its relevant theories of video monitoring system intensively, such as Embedded Technology, Digital Signal Processing Technology and Video Coding Technology, analyzed principle and algorithms of main module of H.263 recommendation in details, compared several Motion Estimation algorithms, and finally chose SAD as the block-matching method and the Diamond Search (DS) as the motion estimation algorithm;b) Analyzed several advanced projects, and chose ARM+DSP as the core of our Digital Video Monitoring System, designed the hardware frame, and then compartmentalized the whole system into three parts, which are video signal collecting module based on FPGA, video coding module based onC6211 and main controlling and data transmitting module based on SA-1110;c) Compared several Embedded Operating System, and ported the ARMLinux 2.4.20-rmk2 kernel to the core controller SA-1110, and developed its applications according as the need of the system, including the programs of the main controlling, DSP Boot, I2C controlling, real-time controlling, network transmitting and so on;d) Designed DSP software of the system, such as Inter-frame Coding, Intra-frame Coding, rate control, and Program Optimization of DSP.A network video monitoring system based on ARM+DSP is achieved, with the advantages of steady data transition, fluent video play etc., and is a kind of Embedded Image Processing System.
