Intellectual property(IP) information service is a fresh subject in recent years, especially with the coming knowledge-oriented economy era, IP is becoming one of sharp weapons in the international economy competition. China is faced with further fierce competition—IP competition. With the development at a tremendous pace, if IP information service could not be popularized and the cost of IP protection would not be decreased, the pace of our economic construction would be hampered. Therefore, to promote IP information service is a matter of great urgency.In the last analysis, the objective of researching self-service channel of IP information service is to study how to adjust to internet environment and knowledge era aimed at playing an important role of IP protection in promoting social productivity. Beginning with users' demand and capability, the author is trying to realize the goal of decreasing IP protection cost and accelerating social prosperity. The article analyzes various channels of IP information service, and affirmatively points out locomotive role of self-help IP information service.
