A Technique For Color Image Mosaic For Panoramic Image

Nowadays a new kind of vision technology is developing quickly and become more popular in the world, which is called panoramic image mosaic technology. It is virtual reality technology based on image mapping technology to produce picture truthfully. Panoramic image mosaic technology mainly uses image mosaic to realize round seeing of the scene. It is a comparatively practical technology, developing very fast and becoming more popular.This paper concentrates on the study of panoramic image mosaic technology, particularly researching on cylindrical panoramic image mosaic, and realizes cylindrical panoramic image mosaic. Using buildup and brim sharp of the image based on image processing technology to extract symbol contour. On the basis of summarizing and analyzing former work, we also propose a matching and distill algorithm based on symbol area, the thinking of the algorithm is distilling symbol area of the next image geminating sections, then we process match. On the basis of assuring mosaic effect, the algorithm also improves mosaic speed, and is a kind of fast and effective mosaic algorithm. The effect of using the algorithm to mosaic image sequences photographed is satisfactory.Only using simple algorithm in image mosaic, there will be apparent gap in it. So a good algorithm is needed to find to diminish the gap. Analyzing several existing image smoothing algorithms, we choose an image smoothing algorithm matching with color and luminance, and have made satisfactory effect.
