Physics is a lab-based natural science, the experiments in physics teaching has an irreplaceable role, especially in cultivating students'comprehensive and innovative capacity, it has the incomparable advantages with other disciplines.Jiang said: "Innovation is the soul of a nation's progress, the inexhaustible motive force for nation's prosperity." Twenty-first centuries is the era of competition for talents, mainly for creative talents. Creative Education is the main way to cultivate creative talents.Modern education technology got developed and improved in the last three decades, the development of modern computer technology, network technology and communication technology, has brought unprecedented opportunities and challenges for educational technology. Virtual reality technology, as a modern educational technology, is widely used in education, however, its application is just beginning in high school education.The paper explores the application status of virtual reality technology in education at home and abroad, physics experiment teaching situation in high school and the actual situation of middle school students innovative ability. And carry out a study of cultivating students'innovation ability by selecting a virtual laboratory in high school physics experiment teaching.The experiment of applying virtual laboratory for innovative ability is carried out in two ways: students'innovation-building and teachers'training in innovation and application. The paper verifies the effect of virtual laboratory on motivating students'innovation ability through experiments, to abtain the relevant factors which have an influence on building students innovative ability and training methods and related strategies of using virtual laboratory for cultivating students'innovative ability.Through careful analysis of the experimental results, we have got some encouraging findings and also some existing problems. The application of virtual laboratories enrich physics teaching and learning activities, solve a number of difficulties in experiment implementation, to some extent develop students'innovative ability, and obtained the methods and strategies of cultivating students innovation ability and provide teaching suggestions for the current physics experiment. Because of constraints of time and research capacity, shortcomings in this study will be improved in the future teaching and experiments. Suggestions and advices are really appreciated!...
