Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is a kind of high resolution imaging radar located on the moving aircraft which plays an important role in military and civil domains, whose high range resolution is obtained by the broad signal and the azimuth resolution by the SAR. With the developing of SAR imaging technology to high resolution and real-time processing, one frame radar image production requires processing huge amounts of raw echo signal data, which takes up multi-processors to distribute simulation for the purpose of real-time imagery. High Level Architecture (HLA) is made to build the platform for SAR echo real-time distributed simulation because of the reusability and interoperability.Firstly, the point target model of SAR echo is established based on the Range-Doppler algorithm in this paper, and the requirement of huge SAR echo transmission data is analyzed by calculating the volume data of point targets. According to data transmission of real-time demand aiming at the federal operation support environment run-time infrastructure (RTI) of HLA, a solving design scheme is introduced: SAR echo data is publicized and subscribed by RTI, token data is sent via RTI, however the content of echo data is sent by User Datagram Protocol (UDP). Considering the existing problems of unreliable UDP transmission, by using the control of information flow, confirm calibration and clock synchronization and so on, data transport achieves echo data's efficient and reliable transmission, so the system has a high transform performance, which could satisfy the demand of SAR echo data's distributed simulation.Finally, the SAR target model is established in Matlab simulation environment and the demanding of SAR massive data processing is analyzed.The transmission for massive data is accomplished in VC environment,consequently, message transfer design of improved UDP which is proved correctly under the reliability and real-time processing for data transmission, which could satisfy the demanding of distributed real-time for SAR echo signal simulation.
