The Research Of Ontology-based XML Schema Matching

With the development of networks and information technology, cooperation in various areas of applications are increasingly close, the data interoperability become more important. Since the autonomy and heterogeneous of data model, schema matching has become a fundamental task in data-intensive distributed applications in order to achieve data sharing and becomes a research hotspot in the academic community recent years. At present, studies of schema matching can not guarantee to find all of the corresponding relations that users want, aslo can not guarantee all of that are correct, that is, improving the accuracy of pattern matching is necessary.With it's own characteristics,the applications of XML is become more and more important,moreoever has become a standard to data exchange in network information. Therefore,,I studied XML schema matching using domain ontology technology.In this paper start from Schema matching research, the major works are as follow:(1)introduce the background and research status of Schema matching, anayysis the advantage and disadvantage of existing systems with the problem of Schema matching;(2)introduce XML-ralated technologies;(3)study the relationship between Schema matching and Ontology aligment, introduce Ontology and it's application with Schema matching;(4)Based these research, I propose the ontology-based XML Schema matching methods: I extract the information not only name and datatype, I use ontology to assistant computing the similarity; I also compute the structure similarity;(5) From the view of application, I use the matching algorithm in the XML schema integration ,by comparing the test data, I verify the validity of the algoritnm in the recall and precision.
