With the country's social transformation and the development ofthe globalized world, public crisis become norm, the mass media moreand more play an invaluable role in public crisis. This research ison the behavior of the mass media, the procedure and effect ofinterest game playing in crisis communication, and focusing on thevalue orientation of mass media, especially in the Chinese politicalsystem. How to ensure the principal rights and interests of thepublic is a key question of discussion in crisis politics.Stepping from reality to theory, the analyzing process focuses onthe media image of real public crisis(The weng'an affair), which isconstructed an deconstructed by mass media. By means of interestanalyzingmainly, the thesis analyses, from the prospects ofgovernment, public and media, that the three interests how toaffected the value orientation of mass media in publiccrisis.Meanwhile, the research proves that it is inevitable andpractical for mass media can achieve into the public accountability.It is expected that by the analyzing of the communication of publiccrisis and the process of governance, three aspects of meanings canbe built: firstly, the recognition of the interest structure of thesocial transformation that can be reflected on mass media; secondly,the discovery of the common value of Chinese mass media in interestgame playing; thirdly, contribution to harmonious media system inChinese society, by the achieving into public accountability.
