The intelligent inspection system of tobacco is a special device, which is used to eliminate the impurity from the raw tobacco. It is a complicated system relating to optics, computer, electronics and mechanism, etc. Its use enhances greatly the level of automation and debases the stress of work and assures the consistency of the raw tobacco. It can ensure the quality of final products which will increase the profits and strengthen the competitive power of the tobacco companies.Industrial Ethernet has acquired comprehensive recognition and has gone through deep research in recent years, with many successful applications in the field of industrial control. It's a valuable task to use the industrial Ethernet technology to the intelligent inspection system of tobacco.In this paper, the main topic is the reform of the control way of the remote pneumatic electromagnetic valves in the intelligent inspection system of tobacco. In order to overcome the flaws of control way of the traditional I/O concurrent bus and the field bus, the control way of the industrial Ethernet card will be used to replace them. The main processes are that the industry PC sends the eliminating control signals through network to the Ethernet card which based on the FPGA, and then, the card will get the eliminating control signals and control the pneumatic electromagnetic valves to eliminate the impurity from the raw tobacco.This paper emphasizes on the study of the program principle of the FPGA and the TCP/IP protocol and the simplification of the TCP/IP protocol to fit for the real-time and the high-speed of the industrial Ethernet card. This paper designs and realizes the controling board with the transmission model of Ethernet (calling Industrial Ethernet card briefly) through the hardware and the software, and validate the real-time and the high-speed and the precision of the data by designing the Socket software and taking advantage of the oscillograph and other appliances. The adoption of the industrial Ethernet card based on FPGA for the control way of the pneumatic electromagnetic valves predigests the circuit, saves the costs and improves the productive efficiency.In the end, sum-up and prospect of the research in the task are stated.
