Because of Invariance and uniqueness of the fingerprint, fingerprint recognition technology has become the most widely used technology in biometric recognition fields. However, Fingerprint recognition algorithm is complicated, we must select processor which has higher frequency, its means the cost will be high. So we must develop a syetem which has low cost, low consumption of time. Through the system we can get fingerprint pictures which have high image quality. In this system, the following things have been studied:Firstly: we selected the fingerprint sensors MBF200 of Fujitsu company and S3C2410 microprocessor of ARM9, In ADS1.2 environment, S3C2410 control the fingerprint sensors MBF200 using C language. First we must adjust the value of MBF200's important register, Then we can get good fingerprint picture. Last we transmit Fingerprint data to PC using Serial Port.Secondly:We use some algorithm such as image smoothing, median filter, it clear the hole, breakpoints and other noise of the picture, we can get area of the fingerprint picture which is useful by Image Normalization,and then we are ready for Fingerprint recognition by binarization.Thirdly: We devide the fingerprint to four classificationes, this will make the match work lower. We get the minutiae of the fingerprint after extract algorithm and we must filter out false feature points. Then we set up a fingerprint data which is ready for fingerprint recognition. Last we talk about some recognition algorithm and get new recognition algorithm whose recognition based on minutiae. We can match triangle whose structure is made of minutiae such as Endpoint and Bifurcation.Last: In the VC++ environment, we set up the Fingerprint Acquisition and Recognition System through realizing the Acquisition and Recognition algorithm and making fingerprint data.
