The Study And Application Of Establishment Of Software Testing Environment For Telecom Network

As the parameter configurations of the environment of software are more and more complex, and the need of compatible with other configurations, the establishment of software testing environment is more and more complex and frequently. The testers will establish the environment for every compounding, and have to switch between them. During amending the bugs and after this, the testers have to rebuild the corresponding environment. The huge work make testers can not bend themselves to testing work. This thesis mainly introduce the means automate the establishment of environment, and shorten the cycle of automated software testing.This article introduces the composing of testing integrated environment in the department of NGN-SIT in UTStarcom company, including Test Management System (TMS) and Automated Testing System (ATS). Additionally, it discusses about selection of automated test case, version management and so on.The referred establishment of testing environment via configuring of network device and setting of software that includes initiation configuration and runtime configuration. Two chapters are used to introduce method that traditional manual establishment of testing environment and automatic establishment, which includes initiation configuration and runtime configuration. Via network element configuration and atom operation to environment saving to database for recording process of transaction, and main script operates the whole proceed.As telecom system, testing environment consists of hardware environment and software environment. Hardware environment includes servers and types of network elements, which need to be established by manual. Software environment includes variety of be-tested software, Operation System, Database, and other application software. It is basic and difficult work for establishment and maintenance of environment. So it is very important to establish of testing environment automatically that affect efficiency of test work and quality of system directly.
