Design And Practice Of The Security Alarm System Of The Campus Network

As a key infrastructure in the university, Campus network takes on the responsibility for the scientific research, teaching, foreign exchange and management. The security situation in the information about campus network has a great influence on the smoothness of these things. With the rapid development of the network construction in our country, the security issues of campus network become increasingly urgent and highly valued. So it gives a new requirement to the construction and management of campus network.First of all, the common danger, security policy and key technology in campus network are described in detail in this thesis in the context and current situation of computer network security. And then the security risk and security requirement are analyzed with the help of the characteristics of campus network. On the premise that the fund and technology are enough in most domestic universities at present, we try to provide enhanced security of the internet, the supervision timeliness of the managers, to ensure the campus network working safely at the farthest.Secondly, this paper analyzed the development course and developing direction in the future from the study of network management, and introduced some basic concept and basic theory about network management. With the rapid development of the internet, Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) became a part of TCP/IP stack and the de facto standards of network management. The developments of the several versions have omni faceted improvements and are widely used. So, this paper gave a detailed account of SNMP and interrelated Management Information Base (MIB), and put forward some thinking about structuring network weather map of campus network, to be the basis of correlation technique of the research.At last, according to the actual condition of the campus network system of some certain universitys, we propose the design objective of the campus network security. And according to that objective, we propose the feasible security alerting system of the information of campus network. We could meet the need of the campus network security only if we can live up to the early warning, real-time monitoring of the internet security, and a stitch in time after the danger. The experiment and research in this paper has built the security alerting system of the information of campus network, met the need of network monitoring of the university by means of using the open source software-Cacti. And we have known more about it and given additional warning function from the study. Not only do we improve the data storage strategy, we draw out the network weather map of the whole campus network, so that to monitor the running state of the internet flow intuitively.In sum, this system has lived up to the effective monitoring of the campus network from Cacti, and made an alarm response in time. Not only do we save the system cost, we shorten the development cycle, and provide an economy solution for the security alerting system of the information of campus network.
